Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Creative and performing arts
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. They can join in concerts, art shows and drama activities.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
Show Team
Boorowa Central School’s Show Cattle Team gives students a hands-on introduction to livestock handling and agriculture. Each year, our team proudly represents the school at events such as the Scone Beef Bonanza, the Sydney Royal Easter Show, and a range of local shows.
Students learn cattle preparation, grooming, and ring craft while building confidence, teamwork, and industry knowledge. We are proud of their dedication and the way they represent our school at every event.
Student Representative Council (SRC)
Our Student Representative Council plays an important role in giving students a voice at Boorowa Central School. Made up of enthusiastic and responsible student leaders from across the school, the SRC works to strengthen our school community and represent the views of their peers.
Throughout the year, the SRC helps organise events, support fundraising initiatives, and promote positive school culture. They work closely with staff to identify ways to improve student life and lead by example through their commitment, teamwork, and school pride.
The SRC provides an excellent opportunity for students to develop leadership skills, confidence, and responsibility while making a meaningful contribution to our school.
